He's coming to the meet.

Well this thread is a chance to sample peoples views on me.

This.

Why can't he pay for it himself?

The Vatican finances are a real mysterious of byzantine proportions.

Half of the visit is being picked up by Catholics in the UK

Have they nothing better to spend money on?

The press and TV have really been hammering him.

Channel 4 and BBC1 had rival progs on Tuesday.

Doesn't help when religious broadcasting keep trying to soft soap the old monster.

For the record, I am an atheist. I do however have no problem with people who have faith. I am not a expert but if you balance the good things the Catholics do, against the bad (some of it myths and legends) do they make the world a better place? Probably. Should we protect him while he is here? Yes, or Peter Thathell might try to bum him.

Yeh we should be welcoming just as long as he isn't rude to us.

Peter Tatchell maywell be a candidate for greatest living Englishman and should be permitted to kick Benny up the bum once.

With a soft shoe.

And take a poloroid of said act.

I hope he brings his Popemobile with them. That's quite nifty.

Aparently it doesn't move from country to country (he ain't Barrack) so if you like you could probably buy it after the visit.

I would like a Chipmobile.

Rubbish.

There are two. I saw them both being loaded onto a truck at the vatician to be driven over last week. Only photos mind. On and they cost £220,000 each.

And I am quite happy for the Pope to visit. He will give a great buzz to the catholic population of this country, and there are quite a few. We shouldn't discount the "feel good factor"

Are you a religious man, bigfella?

Laughing out loud

No.

But have no problems with people that are.

He's a tit.

I welcome the visit by his majesty holy holy The Pope. I will lie prostrate before him and let him finger my arsehole for a good ten minutes. I am his to command.

You or a juicy young choirboy, I know which I'd rather abuse.

Why does every one think an old man in a dress who hangs around with choir boys is gay?

I bet you've got a 'juicy young choirboy' outfit. For just such an eventuality.

There's no certainty, it's a matter of faith.

Who would a deity worship?

And there are a number of popemobiles, some travel, some don.t some become shrines
