Well no, I wouldn't, but there's obviously a lot of unsavory characters about who would be able to run free if there was nothing to stop them but politeness.

There were hundreds of thousands of soldiers and cops (both Iraqi and coalition) on the streets but you can't stop a determined criminal, as we know from experience in our own countries. But the insinuation that the criminal activity and depravity was caused by the invasion is ludicrous.

Can there be a separate thread about this where you can have this argument? It comes up a lot, and I'm too socially ignorant to have an opinion either way.
