Completely different. I've no truck with Blair, but this tiresome and erroneous belief that he and he alone is responsible for taking us to war is quite frankly bollocks.
I wonder which figure is greater; the number of our troops who have died in Afghanistan, or the number of civilians who have been saved through whatever quashing of terrorism we've achieved (if any)?

Other PMs have defnitely kept us out of other wars where we may have had more cause to be there. Vietnam according to the Domino theory was in essence an attempt to defend ourselves against the USSR.
Gulfwar 2 was a pointless war most of our allies sidestepped (unlike Afghan2).
I am being a little facile because Blair in his early years was a genius proponent of "armed humanintarianism" Kosovo and Siera Leone were both amazing examples of how limited armed forces in cooperation with native resistance could reverse the worst excesses.
But that was with prez Clinton another clever guy and also something of a visionary. Blair tried something similar with the sleazy prez Bush and made some terrible errors.
Errors he was too vain to admit. Errors which cost millions of lives and may well have sunk armed huminatarianism for good.
Which may lead to millions of deaths in Sudan and Congo.
