Current radio comedy Page 40

Very much enjoyed Ed Reardon last night. Not sure if it's a new series, or just a repeat from the 11:30am slot, but very good regardless. And particularly nice to have internet message boards play such a big part in the plot.

Continuity. I'm glad it was only 15mins.

Old Harry's Game. I've listened to a couple of the recent episodes and have enjoyed it, I try to catch up on the previous series'.

He's left?

Recorded For Training Purposes. Poor overall. I did like the voice actor farting sketch, but it should've ended after he offered to do a couple more.

This thread feels kind of sad now that Chip has left.

Did he even say goodbye?

Maybe he died. Or went on holiday.

I hope he hasn't gone for good, I liked his posts (generally).

I find Ed Reardon's Week an excellent character-based, dialogue-based (well, it hs to be, being radio comedy, I guess!) show up there with Clare in the Community. Reardon is that seedy, slightly past-it hack writer whom you can't help liking.

I found Continuity to be mildly enjoyable. I think "subtle" is the best way to discribe it.

I listened to the first one and found it rather dull. I'm not listening again.

Listen Against

The sketch where all the panel members were David Mitchell; has that been done somewhere before?

It might have been a throwaway gag on Newjack, but I doubt anybody's spliced footage of him together before in an actual sketch.

Have loved the Ed Reardon repeats. Continuity was disappointing. The Maltby Collection is very good.
I wonder if Down the Line will be back.

I doubt it. I think they are concerntrating on changing the BBC's mind and getting a second series of Bellamy's People.

There might be a chance now for Down the Line...

Just got through listening to every series of Old Harry's Game. I do like it, but listening to it over a week I noticed that a lot of the jokes were repeated, most of them involving Thomas's pubic hair.

I started Bleak Expectations today, getting through the first series. Brilliant, I laughed a lot.
