British Comedy Guide

Hi, I'm new also !

Hello

I'm Jo, I'm new to all this and I'm the guy that carries a pen and notepad to be seen constantly scribbling down things at all hours in all places.

Isn't it amazing that some of the funniest ideas come simply from observation !

Currently working on a serious sitcom script !!!! I've no prev experience of professional writing, performing, submission etc, so I'll be seeking lots of guidance along the way . . . . from you lot !

Writing for me is a passion and is in my heart, unlike the mundane 9-5 job that I do in order to pay the bills.

They say that comedy is often born from adversity.

Well I'm a "Smoggie"

Hi Jo

Fizzy ! You said it. Fish opened their mouth to burp !

Hellllloooo...and welcome! :)

Hi Ellie ! Great to meet you. You are so lucky to live in London. I love the place.

Hmmm...maybe...if you like the layer of soot and grime it leaves on your skin and the numerous amount of diseases I catch from the tube alone! ;) But I do love it really! :D

Hi Jo and welcome to BSG!

So now we know what Ellie's job really involves - cleaning fecking chimneys.

Welcome, welcome.

Hi Jo, welcome to the funny farm! You'll like it here.

Hey Jo :D

Crackers, if you're racially offended by that just search for the other meaning.

Hello Jo.

A serious sitcom? How does that work then?

:D Hello ! A serious sitcom . . . I'll have to run that by others. If they laugh, then its a sitcom. If they don't, It's Drama !

Sounds like Vivienne Vyle then.

Vivienne Vyle is a work of art, providing it is taken in the right context. I found the first episodes a little bit disappointing.

The critics didn't favour either.

But it's true . . . so many scripts written for comedy become adapted to drama due to the lack of laugh material.
