Things that baffle you Page 7
Quote: Lee Henman @ September 7 2010, 10:08 PM BSTPeople who allow their dogs to defecate on the street without picking it up are committing a crime and deserve to be fined. So why is it that when some hoity-toity twat - or indeed a policeman - clip-clops along the street on his huge-arsed horse as gargantuan lumps of shit tumble to the ground with sickening thuds, nobody bats an eyelid?
WHY IS THIS LEGAL? Just because horses eat grass, doesn't mean it's not shit. It is shit. Massive steaming, stinking piles of it that stay there for weeks afterwards, slowly rotting into fetid pools of green corruption.
I hate the argument that horseshit isn't really shit because they only eat plants. Does that mean I could turn vegetarian and legally take a dump on the town hall steps?
Grrr.
There is the small practical issue that horse poo bins would be humungous and riders would need to carry around bin bags.
But it's a fair point. Though dog poo, epsecially man sized piles from some status beast attached to a caveman in burbery who missed out on evoloution. Is about one of the nastiest smelliest substances ever.
Horse poo smells kinda nice, like the country side.
But nappies for horses arses (including the ones who ride them arf arf).
Dog poo contains stuff that can hurt us like tapeworm eggs, and Toxocariasis, which is very nasty indeed and can cause blindness. I don't think horse poo can harm us in the same way, unless anyone here can correct me.
some people eat it for its health giving properties

It's still poo though, and huge great lumps of it too.
Babestation. Is it purely for people who don't have the internet? Maybe it's only there to satisfy loners between service providers.
A simple answer as to why there is very little legislation relating to horses (including pooing on the street) could be that at one time only the landed gentry (who made the laws) had horses. If the landed gentry owned all the chavs, we probably wouldn't have ASBOs.

It is still poo, and it's certainly untidy to leave it around the place, but given the choice, I'd much rather see masses of innocuous horse poo than a few rings of toxic dog poo.

I hope I never find myself in a situation where I have to make such a choice.
You're all poo loving perverts.

Probably be some kind of Vernon Kay style game show along with such a concept.

Oh poo to you!
