Things that baffle you Page 4

It's not their patter that baffles me. It's how they manage to reach such levels of cretinism.

I always assumed that they started at that level and then got better, but you might be right in saying that their cretinism is something they've had to work on.

Something that always baffles me is how rude people get jobs in retail.

YES.

We don't start rude. The normals wear us down.

What baffles me? My life, that's what baffles me...

I'm sat here looking at a screen editing an incomprehensible article on cloud computing, I can't go to lunch yet because the bus station ticket office closes for lunch and I'm wondering how the hell I'm going to design, write, sub-edit and publish a magazine in a meeting-heavy week just before I go to Cannes on business.

That last bit is nice but it still baffles me that it's me that's going.

I get that when things are going a little too well. I get suspicious, like people are playing a joke on me, and then I'll be fired for being out of my depth.

I was given a choice: Nairobi in Kenya or Cannes in the South of France as there were two events we needed to go to in the same week. I've never been outside Europe before but the thought of trying to sell the idea to the wife that I was going to Africa was too much of an ask. Being away for four nights caused me enough trouble as it was - she was moody for the rest of the day. :)

Yep, the fella's starting to get sick of how much I'm having to go to London with work- I don't know how he'd react if I was leaving the country !

Having worked in retail for six years, very often the staff are turned rude by the rudeness/utterthickness of the customers. So many people when they become 'a customer' leave their flippin' brains at the door.

Careful- I've already got one nemesis on here, but I've probably got time in my life for another..

Have you? Cor! You're a fast worker! I've been here over two years and haven't managed a nemesis. Who is your nemesis? Let me know and I can plot against you with them. ;)

Oh it's only Sooty, no one important. ;)
