Fair point.

I was ill recently and had to have many a needle poked in me. After all this needle abuse my veins started collapsing and once when I needed a jab in my arm, they kept trying different veins in my arm til the dr started looking at my wrist. I told him point blank he could forget it, there was no way in hell he was going to jam a needle in there. I won. Wrists really make me shudder.

I've had lines in my wrists, neck, groin and feet. Not nice at all.

My fear is being awake during an operation and no one realising it.

I had a line in my wrist when I was in hospital. Then they had to inject that magic dye into the line, but the line slipped and they were forcing liquid just willy nilly under my skin. It hurt lots.

I have a fear of sudden and unexpected death, which would be rational were it not that my main fear is that this will result in the discovery of my enormous collection of pornography.

I have an irrational fear of dropping my car keys down a drain.

Mine be bridges, well crossing bridges, the bigger the bridge the greater the fear.

Hate the feeling but I've not let it beat me and the more I face em the easier its getting.

I don't like walking along piers or big bridges when there are gaps between the planks of wood you're walking on and you can see the sea through them.

I was stuck on top of the QE2 bridge this afternoon.

Ie traffic not moving. I'm crap at heights. Went a bit funny. Had to stare at the car in the lane next to me.

I was stuck on that bridge last weekend, and quite enjoyed the break from driving so fast. I've found as I got older motorway driving to be a bit scary. I used to be a bit of a speed demon but now find my heart palpatating if I'm nudging 70!

Yet it's more and more common now to allow the patient to be awake, since it supposedly helps in the recovery process when you avoid having a general anesthetic.
