I've watched him, The Mighty Boosh, stand-up, panel shows (latter being a little better) but yet to see what's great. My fave thing he's done was his part in The IT Crowd but feel that was due to the writing skills of GL. I've been in convos where people have quoted MB and fallen about laughing (seems to have generated a big following) but can't see it being on nearly the same level as other great comedies. Does anyone know where am coming from or is he that good?

He must be doing something right. I'm not a fan, but I think a bit part of being a successful comedian/actor is the likability factor. Him and Julian Barratt share a good chemistry on screen.

He's certainly a niche act, he's very marmitey. Sometimes I like him and sometimes I don't. I used to be a big Boosh fan, but then I got tired of it (particularly Fielding). I'm warming to him again though; I like his cheeky, smackheady face.

Agree that he's made himself famous with what he does. I'm not a big fan of Russell Howard or Russell Brand but they seem to have done well for themselves, although never got MB. Always found it strange when people would bring it up as being a good comedy show.

Lol at my written English. This what I'm trying to figure out. Do people like him because he is funny or that he seems like a nice guy? Bill Bailey's got both IMO.

Don't worry too much. People who find him funny do. It's kind of really that simple.
I think it's a mix; I much prefer comedy from a person who I like, but the material has still got to be good. I think that's a pretty natural human response.

I disagree. Even out of the big boys, I think I am a lot more likely to enjoy an act if I like the person !

I'm not talking about real life Marc, I'm talking about WATCHING comedy! Obviously it's only the percieved persona too; I have no idea what they're like in for real reals.

I like Noel. He's so Emo it's painful but he makes me laugh a lot and he's wonderful alongside Julian Barratt. They truly are a great double act.
He's also a total titmagnet. He literally attracts lady's boobs with his cheeky magic magnetic Fielding. I saw it happen in a club once. 'Twas an awesome, if slightly disturbing sight. Females of every age, size, and creed, offering up their sweet milky puddings to him on the dancefloor.
And before anyone says it's only because he's in the Boosh, I didn't see any young ladies rubbing their mammarians up against Rich Fulcher.
Although I'd happily rub my manglands on Rich if he asked me too.
