Foster Comedy Awards shortlist announced

Was going to post this in Bo Burnham category, thought it'd probably deserve its own separate thread though:

In short: "The nominations for this year's Foster Comedy Awards have been announced, including for STV tips Bo Burnham and Josie Long, as well as Greg Davies, Russell Kane and Sarah Millican."

Oh, actually this'll do as well:

The Best Comedy Show shortlist is as follows:

Bo Burnham: Words, Words, Words
Josie Long: Be Honourable!
Greg Davies: Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog
Russell Kane: Smokescreens and Castles
Sarah Millican: Chatterbox
The Best Newcomer shortlist is as follows:

Asher Treleaven: Secret Door
An Audience with Imran Yusuf
The Boy with Tape on His Face
Gareth Richards: Stand Up Between Songs
Late Night Gimp Fight!
Roisin Conaty: Hero,Warrior, Fireman, Liar

It's the first time in the histpry of the Fringe that two female comics have been up for the main prize. Whey !

No Gary Delaney on the Newcomers list though :(

His missus is up there, what more does he want? :D

I was more surprised about lack of Kevin Eldon myself... I know he's performed in the past, but it's his first solo show and by all accounts great.

He really deserves to by nominated though !

I've seen The Boy With Tape On His Face, and he was great. He's silent throughout, gaffer tape over his mouth, but it's brilliant.

I would have liked Colin Hoult to get a nod, his show was fantastic.

I thought that Bo Burnham would be listed on the newcomers list? Still, I think he will probably win.

I seen Imran Yusef perform and he was very good. I hope he does well.
