Thought I'd bump up this thread as I live for holidays.
Help me decide my next trip. I haven't done Italy yet, so I really fancy Rome, but the Amalfi Coast is so pretty. Do I go for the culture of Rome or the stunning Amalfi for a long weekend? Also, I've heard that they will be restricting visitors to Venice in the future, so should I go there first?

I guess it makes sense to visit Venice first, seeing as it might not be round for ever, and I suppose you can do Rome at any age. Mr Baby has his heart set on Rome though... decisions decisions...

But Paris is beautiful, and the South of France is lovely. I've always found French people to be really friendly and polite. My French is appaling but I've never experienced any of the rudeness that's supposed to one of their traits.
Paris is ugly and dirty. The less said about the people the better; I've seen and met some nice, polite frogs and some bloody obnoxious ones, reinforcing and strengthening all of the stereotypes.
I rather liked Paris. I'd like to climb up Montmarte again.

Any of you experienced in the ways of All Inclusive? Dan and I want to go away AI this year but are a bit stuck on locations, not being seasoned travellers. Can't really afford Asia (but I'd love to go to a Thai island) or Carribean, so somewhere like Cyprus or the Algarve looks more likely. Looking to spend about £1500 for the two of us for around 10 days in first 3 weeks of October, but it's Dan first proper hollibob so we're quite picky (unfortunately).
Any recommendations for beachy places but not too resorty? Definitely nowhere like Aiya Napa or Ibiza. Paphos looks most promising. Willing to wait until last minute to pick up a good bargain!
Cuba for 2 weeks cost me and my ex £800 each and it was amazing. All inclusive which meant we didn't have to spend anything extra if we didn't want. But we did pay for a trip to Havana. Went beginning of June time with Thompson (I think) and it was great.
