Most embarrassing sex you have ever had Page 6

I still maintain that there's no way any reasonably adjusted human being can find Doctor Who - past or present - scary.

Of course a six year old in 1963 could find it scary, you've been brought up in a very different, media saturated world where you'd probably see worse on The Bill these days, but not back then.

Certain sequences of SAW and films like that are almost unwatchable to me, but Aaron wouldn't be remotely bothered, I think.

However, I do enjoy watching horror films, and he doesn't.

Is that scary or just gross though?

Just gross, not a fan of those torture porn films, that's not horror, that's just an endurance test.

I love the SAW films, I love to see the DVDs chucked in a bin...

Scary and gross, I think.

I'm in the mood for a Tigon horror today, actually. With Christopher Lee or someone.

Tigon?

It's a production company I think. '60s and '70s English horror films.

I has this.

Still haven't watched them all.

How come Doctor Who has got into embarrassing sex?

Laughing out loud Angelic

I'm not sure!

1963.

Was that the year after 1962?

We know that FR is far from well-adjusted though...

That may be so, but it's also well known that you can be as wrong as you are supercilious! :P

*mildly irritating whilst remaining respectful of he who wields the banning stick*

As for embarrassing sex stories:

Mine is when a very sexy blonde picked me up in a night club (I was working behind the bar) she said I should come back to her place for sexy fun (this was 1977) and that she had transport outside. After I finished the bar job she was waiting for me. She said hurry up! I was shaking all over!! When we got outside she dragged me onto a coach which was jam-packed full of bawdy women. The driver quickly closed the door and we were off on an hours drive to a nearby town. The women were all hilariously drunk... I was soon mauled and stripped by them and the rest I'd rather forget if only I could..

Absolutely correct.

There is no comparison with TV (and the media in general) now to then.

For a period of three years (1974-77) Doctor who was completely terrifying. That's why Mary Whithouse complained about it.
