Jeez Big F, I thought I was the only sadsack still up at this ungodly hour.
And with that I must away.
*snore fart snore etc*
Sleep is for wimps.
Does solo sex count?
Quote: Lee Henman @ August 20 2010, 3:20 AM BSTI don't know about anyone else but our sofa was up against the wall with my Dad sat on it. The only way I'd have got behind it would've been to ask Dad to get off while I wrestled the sofa away from the wall to give me room to hide behind it, by which time the scary bit would've been over.
I'm sure it's just an enduring 'Who' soundbite that everyone trots out - "Oh yes I remember hiding behind the sofa!" Do you really. That's nice. What a great childhood you had, with your lounge large enough to harbour a sofa in the middle of the room that doubled as a Dalek shield.
I've always wondered that as well!

Our house was weird, and my bedroom was downstairs and opened on to the back of the living room, so I did sometimes creep out and hide behind an armchair to watch things while I was supposed to be in bed.
Do armchairs count?
Quote: Ben @ August 18 2010, 7:03 PM BSTMine involved early morning sex, a condom full of urine and a look of "How the hell did that happen?". We laughed afterwards.
>_<
70s houses were often open plan lounge/diners, so 'the' or 'a' sofa (or settee in 70s speak) was sometimes facing the telly and backing onto the dining area - like Jim's armchair in The Royle Family.
Dr Who as seen in 1960s house. In the early 60s houses (Daleks first seen 1962, I believe...) we mainly had lino and not fitted carpets. There was a carpet in the middle of the floor with maybe a yard of uncovered lino around it. The sofa was on the carpet facing the telly so of course you could hide behind the f**king sofa (settee we called it!)
I sometimes wonder about you 80s, 90s and 00s lot, I really do!
P.S. we also hid under the table when watching early Dr Who! It was a generic thing. Dr Who was that different and that scary (really). All we had seen before that was Andy Pandy!
I still maintain that there's no way any reasonably adjusted human being can find Doctor Who - past or present - scary.
We know that FR is far from well-adjusted though...
The fact that it's enjoyed by so many adults, is the scariest thing about it.
Yes, but you don't find ANY TV or film scary! So it doesn't really count.
*puts psychologist hat on*
I think you're too aware that its just pictures on a box in the corner of the room, rather than being able to let yourself believe it's real in any capacity. Hence you prefering comedy and documentary to drama. And never finding anything scary.
Most supposedly scary things, aren't scary. But I still bloody love watching "scary" things.
Certain sequences of SAW and films like that are almost unwatchable to me, but Aaron wouldn't be remotely bothered, I think.
However, I do enjoy watching horror films, and he doesn't.
