Any comedians people don't get the fuss over Page 3

Well if you don't get Jaques Tati then you won't get Eric Sykes.

Eric Sykes' career goes beyond The Plank and Mr H. Is Late.

Didn't someone here not know who Peter Sellers was recently?

Let's all pick on him again!

Gavin. It seems somehow impossible, but Gavin had not a clue.

I also just do not get the fuss about certain comic actors. Kevin Eldon always springs to mind.

I would expect nothing less. ;)

Don't even get me started on that Bussell chap.

Ha, Bussell wishes there was a fuss about him!

Yeah, and I still don't understand the praise he gets. ;)

Why do Americans love Benny Hill so much?

That's always seems rather bizarre to me. Out of all the English comedians.

Fair enough, then 'you won't get the versatile Eric Sykes in brlliant visual comedy homage to Jacques Tati mode.' How's that? Still haven't seen the latter film, now you remind me.

Benny Hill probably appeals to the American people's baser instincts. I think his high point was Prof. Peach in The Italian Job.

Benny Hill was a very talented comedian who discovered he could work less hard and make more money by chasing scantily clad girls around. Frankly which of us, given the same choice, would have done differently?

Not me. And I'm glad to say that the tree he chased girls around was preserved by the council when the old hospital in Teddington was redeveloped into flats. Actually worked (briefly) on the job myself :) I looked for a little Irishman to pat on the head in my delight at being told this, but rather amazingly, I couldn't find one.
