I got one of thems, they are good.
I bought a Toshiba DVD player for about £40 which has a USB port on it. I just use it for watching downloaded stuff on. Not bad value.
Yeah, it's good that they're now including USB ports in DVD players. Step in the right direction. Hopefully it'll be the end of me trying to explain it all, once it becomes more mainstream.
My telly has a USB port. <3
Thanks for the replies Chums.
If I explain what I want to do.
I realised that I didn't have The Beatles film Help so I "acquired" it but as an AVI. This plays fine on the PC but I want to make a 'proper' DVD 'cos I have the label and cover.
You want a DVD converter rather than AVI to MPEG then. I use ConvertXtoDVD for that.
I don't recall if it's free or not; if not, well I'm sure you can use the same methods to 'acquire' a copy.
How can I find my network key.
SO I can connect a laptop to my wirelsee connection.
Come On Boffins! Let's crack this thing.
Maybe on a sticker on the back/bottom of your router.
Maybe...
There are three stickers though.
All with Barcodes & numbers
Well see what instructions you get at the wireless key prompt. Might ask for a specific length or mix of characters.
Just what I was thinking, straight after I read what you wrote.

Luckily the 'shops' were still open so it's converting now.
Not sure where it's saving it to though!
If you mean ConvertXtoDVD, I think it makes a folder of that name within My Documents, by default. It should prompt you to burn straight away though.

F me , that seems to be a good bit of kit (as we techos say)
Expensive mind, I mean I've had to have the computer on for about two hours!
