My Family - Series 10 Page 12

This series really has been so strong. I look forward to the next episode on Friday.

Official BARB rating for the series so far

Episode:

1. 4.33 million
2. 4.78 million
3. 4.42 million
4. 4.66 million

It seems to be keeping a steady 4.5 million type average, which is pretty low considering the 9th series opened to 6.72 million. I wonder what the general public, outside of the dedicated comedy fans on this board, think of the series. I mean, what else could they be tuning into on a Friday night at 9.00pm right now that's better than My Family? Sure it's throwaway family sitcom stuff, but it's still of good quality.

According to answers.com/wikipedia, the 5th episode "He's Just Not That Into Ben" gained 5.01 mill.

Hmm, that's odd when you click on series 10, it says that episode had 4.56 million and not 5.01 million, f**k it wiki is never that accurate anyway.

I think the ratings are down because the BBC didnt advertise it was a new series, I know a few fans of the show that just thought they were repeats.

The series has been very good so far, the new writers seem to have written better jokes even though the plots do seem to be repeated.

The ratings for it have been about the same as the last series so far.

Watching this properly for the first time in years and it's actually quite good. :O

Very cliched - I'm sure I've seen these ideas in dozens of sitcoms from Steptoe and Son, Hancock etc. But still very funny.

Plot wasn't highly original as Chappers says, but still funny. As Chappers says.

I enjoyed it. Some great laughs - even if there was more than a hint of the Steptoe & Son episode The Desperate Hours, with Phil Davis having played Albert a couple of years back.

Loved it tonight, made me laugh alot :)

I found it a tad boring in places, it livened up near the end when the woman was introduced but the scenes in prison were tedious and the crooks were incredibly annoying. Worst of the series so far in my honest opinion. It's never as good when there's only a couple of the main characters in it.

I think it was a good episode.

The criminals were amusing I thought, worked well.

Only bit I was pissed off with was the end, didn't feel finished.

Yeah a couple of episodes tend to end like that, I think you just have to assume after hours more torture for Ben he finally gets out of the situation, usually by taking the most damage himself.

The Old Guys series is finished and My Family continues in a fortnight...

I think that might be why I liked it.

The gangster's wife was nice and sultry.

The ratings for it have been about the same as the last series so far.

The first episode of the last series had 6.72m, so at least people knew it was a new series.
