They said that they are in permanent dialogue with producers about sitcom ideas.
I'm just trying to find out more about them and what type of relationship they have with the BBC and C4.
Jan Jung (the guy who's contacted me at least) is in imdb and their first film won an award (Best Actress at the Brussels Cinema Festival). I would scoff but it's one more award then I've ever won in the broadcasting media world!
(I did... ahem... of course win the prizes for Maths, French, Art and Science back in third year, but will gloss over that for the purposes of this discussion)
Anyway, sent him some work to see if they like it. Will let you know what they say. It seems being on this website is finally paying off! 
btw did mention that I 'seem to be based in the south of England' so I assume they want people quite nearby -- maybe that's the criteria???

Maybe they genuinely picked those they thought were funny.

Im based in Birmingham at the moment, they said they contacted me because I seem to have done a couple of things. I think it is just mainly random, judging by the fact they seem to have contacted quite a few; just having a punt and seeing if anyone comes up with something good.

I'm feeling annoyed now, as I accidentally ended up leaving my profile section empty, when I registered. I tried to go back and fill them in, after I'd completed the registration, but couldn't.

I'm from Northern Ireland and they contacted me, so I don't think location has anything to di with it. I'm sure it's random.
Wouldn't it have just been easier for this production company to have posted a message on here asking for submissions?
Maybe the didn't want to get bombarded with stuff? They probably just chose a select few maybe based on amount of work done or influences maybe, I don't know who else they sent emails too so can't work out if there was any key thing they were looking for.
How many of you have "written/writing a sitcom" in your profile? I don't, maybe there's a factor, because of course, naturally, they would be breaking my door down otherwise.

In my profile I've mentioned that I've written sitcom scripts and also that I'm working on new sitcom scripts, radio scripts, sketch scripts...keeping all my options open. 
Does anyone not think that it's a bit odd that they're contacting people via a website?
Can you imagine Talkback doing that?
