Damn it - didn't make. Mind you, when you consider some of the names on the list it is not surprising. Sarah Kendall is on the list. Considering that she is already something of a success (she's got a regular part in the new series of Clare in the Community), I think I probably didn't stand a chance.
I forgot all about this.
Just as well. I didn't make the short list.
It's a very short short list. I was expecting about 20-25 from 200 applicants.
Have to say I'm pretty disappointed. I think my short film is pretty good, maybe a bit difficult/expensive to film some bits for a short but still pretty funny.
Good luck to those short listed but if I lost out to some insipid bullshit comedy that would make the recent comedy labs on channel four look good, then the people making the shortlist need looking at. Not bitter or anything. Just you know... well... yes... bitter.
Congratulations to BCG member Stan Doubt (Simon Stratton) for winning this. Can you tell us what the film's about yet?
Yep, many congrats to Simon. No doubt this issue is covered in the preceding posts which I haven't bothered to read, but is his winning script actually to be shot? If so, when might we see the result?

The winning script will receive £1000 as a cash prize from Working Title Films and will be made into a 35mm film.
