Are there wild boars/hogs/pigs in the UK?

Yes animal rights acitivists free them from farms and they run wild in forests.

Some of the f**kers weigh about a tonne, amazing no one's been killed yet.

Was it better than your mother's speciality of beans on toast with a burger on top?

Never!

Very, very tempting. Where do you buy your noodles from?

Sick Venison is naaaaaaasty stuff.

I tried some wild boar sausage recently. Bloody lovely, IIRC.

We mainly get out noodles from asian supermarkets- we've got 2 or three excellent ones in Newcastle.

Venison is great- as long as it's cooked properly !

Also, yes, wild boar is awesome.

Tesco's sell venison, do they have a game license?

I'm not really sure about the ins an outs of food licensing laws, but I imagine that supermarkets have 'all encompassing' food licenses.. anyone work in Tesco ??

I always get Noodles from The local Chinese Cash & Carry.
And lovely Tiger Prawns

Lidl do nice Venison, and lovely Duck breast portions

MEAT PIE

We don't really do meat pies over here and that's a shame.

I am sad for you :(

Mmmm, meat!

Yes. It's very unusual to find those kinds of meats imported. I can't think of the last time I had a sausage that didn't proclaim to be British.

We've got a large cash and carry near us, but I've never actually got around to going. Really must visit at some point and pick some stuff up.

Give it a go! We find that sometimes the best buys are the items with no English writing, that you buy on the strength of how awesome the packaging is. Like this:

There's usually a sign above the entrance door detailing what they're licensed to sell.

Don't you need to be some sort of registered dealer to buy from a cash and carry?

Or are you on about one of those Wing Yip supermarkets?

I can see us buying a bunch of cool looking stuff, but having no idea what any of it is.

Ha. I'm too fussy to do that in most cases. And I've not liked any of the quirky-non-English-packaged things I've tried in the past!

I bought something in Singapore and tried it when I got home.
I can only assume it was meant to be fish food. :/
