Getting On - Series 1 Page 6

Brilliant news. This is one of the best sitcoms in years.

As my financial status is minus one thousand one hundred pounds I am trying to watch again this via the internet but am struggling to find it. If anyone has found it a link would be much appreciated.

Jo Scanlan deserves wider recognition for her work in this and the Thick of It.

I first heard they were doing Getting On from Jo Brand on the Paul O'Grady who said she was writing it with Jo Scanlan and Vicky Pepperdine.

Unfortunately O'Grady is far too self obsessed, thick and lazy to find out who either of them were so he blankly moved onto his next fatuous question.

Just got round to watching this. Brilliant stuff. And exactly the type of show the Beeb should be doing. Hopefully we'll get more episodes in the next series as it must cost a pittance to make.

I love it. I keep seeing it in the shops and wanting to buy it but it's quite expensive for so few episodes.

I need more!

I paid 9 quid. Still pricey but I couldn't wait any longer!

Any news on when series 2 will be on our screens?

The DVDs of Series 2 and 1&2 box set are scheduled for 2nd August, so it really could be almost any day.

Are you all on about that show on right now with Jo Brand in a hospital with jumpy camerawork?
It's like they've just filmed actual people in a real ward.
Anyone who's worked in a hospital ward could have written it. Or rather copied the transcripts into script form after secretly recording their colleagues.

Is this the future of comedy?

I love it. So that would be fine with me.

It's just The Thick of It in a hospital ward.

It was very good.

It's what you should be aspiring to write, Mikey.

Does that matter if it's good? (I don't know if it is, keep missing it. Including tonight)

That was great. Jo Brand is wonderful. (Didnt see the previous episodes.)

"Its just the same as the thick of it" yeah!? blah blah f**king blah blah blah

What? Do you mean by that, that its really f**king good. Cos you should!

It's what you should be aspiring to write, Mikey.

Ah, but if any unknown writer wrote something like that, would it get past the ten page read at WR?
