I'm puzzled as to why some people seem so hostile towards vegetarianism. What are they scared of?

I love a plate of roasties, sprouts, cabbage, beans, gravy and mint sauce. I like the vegetable enchiladas from Asda and I'm about to have a red pepper, vine tomato and mozzarella pizza but I still like meaty meals as well.
I might think Beckham's a bit of a dish (I don't ! >_< ) but that wouldn't mean I was gay. Would it?

It's against nature! We wouldn't have been given teeth to chew meat with otherwise!
A few years ago, my mate Dave temporarily became a vegetarian. That put me right off him until I saw him munching on some battered chicken one night.
