Did anyone else notice that Douglas' wife in the last episode was the same woman who played the widow at the funeral of Douglas' dad in series 2?

A major continuity error or one hell of a twist?

You forgot 'contempt for the audience'.

(The broader audience in the real world, that is, not the audience who follow him on Twitter and go to all the live recordings. He could have cast a joke-shop dog poo as Douglas' wife and they would have screamed with laughter)

Did anyone get the 'multi-coloured jacket' joke? It was quite obscure.

You really have a lot of hate for Linehan, Jinky; everything you don't like is a personal slap in the face to you! :D

Not true!

I've already said that I like Father Ted and that one episode of The IT Crowd was superb.

But this 4th series has been drivel from start to finish.

You treat him like a girl you used to be in love with, but you came home one night, after a decade together, to find him getting fruity with your best friend. :D

It's been patchy, and at times woefully poor, but there has been some good stuff as well. Most notably the bomb episode, which I felt was pretty good.

Quite the opposite. I wish he would get into bed with another bloke. A big forceful bloke who would take him properly in hand.

But, if the reports of how the next series of the IT Crowd will be written are true, it looks like we might be getting 'soggy biscuit' next year.

How do you mean?

What current or recent shows get the Jinky Stamp of Approval?

How do you mean?

Wasn't the odd jacket a parody of Heather Mills' appearance in court?

Was it?

Well in that case, no I didn't get it!

I prefer to think of him as a beaten wife, forever lamenting his lot but coming back for a fresh punching every week.

If it really referred to that it was f**king obscure, me thinks.

Ha! That is actually very funny.

Current? Hmmmm......

Tricky one, that. In an ideal world I'd be raving about The IT Crowd and Mitchell and Webb but this seems to be the year that both shows have hit the buffers.

Not that surprising in the latter case, as they spread themselves so thin.

(I also think the Thick of It went downhill when Langham left...)

Still, with D. Kitson and S. Lee at least we are living in a golden age of stand-up comedy.

We just have to pass a law forcing Linehan to work with somebody and everything will be alright.

Bloody hell. Looks like a tribute to the sixth Doctor Who.

Well then, that was f**king obscure.
