The IT Crowd 4.0 Page 34

You will find a lot of Roy's shirts here:

.. have a good look around, as most are not in the IT T-shirt section.

All the best,
Cal :)

The trouble with Think Geek is the possible import costs. And after previous with American sites, I'm wary of their bizarre sizings.

The 5th series is apparently going to be written by several writers online.

Worth reading this interview. Linehan rates series three and four the most highly and describes the dreadful Calendar Geeks as the one of the two stand out episodes of the series.

He wouldn't be the first creative person so afflicted, but clearly he's not the best judge of what's good in his work - a shame when he's the director and executive producer.

I remember on the commentary to series one when he goes on and on about how funny it is that people think the chocolate on Roy's head is shit. It's not funny Graham it's really weird that you think it's funny or that you would even come up with the idea.

A vanity title. Richard Boden is the actual director.

I thought he was the producer.

He produced Series 3 and 4 too, yes.

Here's Linehan's own description of each series of the show from the chat:

"Here's how I see the IT Crowd series.

1. Loud, slightly desperate, occasionally great.
2. Better, one stand-out episode. Overall quality improving but still learning.
3. Two stand out episodes (Speech, Cal Geeks), lots of really good ones.
4. Very happy with this series."

Interesting to note that his assessment is almost the exact reverse of mine - which explains why I'm often disappointed - Linehan is trying to make a different show to the first two series.

I'm with you Godot, I thought this last series was easily the weakest of the four, it's was actually borderline pisspoor IMHO, held together by a few good set pieces and Moss.

I think Calendar Geeks is the absolute worst episode of IT crowd accross all series.

I think this series is my favourite because it has my two favourite eps- the Sea Parks one and the Countdown one.

Slightly odd.

I think that IT Crowd has simply got better and better with each series. Series One was agonising and I am sure I wasn't alone in wondering whether it would even get recommissioned. Only just seen the last episode in the series as was away but it had some truly very funny moments in it. I think all the characters have grown with each new season. Maybe it's reached its peak though and time for Linehan to move on to something new.

On a more serious note ...

... has anyone bought a "Roy Style" T-shirt yet?

I was tempted to order "No Place Like 127.0.0.1"

All the best,
Cal :)

I've got one which says something like:

This T-Shirt was not found.

404 error.

Press here for Home.

Conclusion: master tapes should be dropped into the sun.

:D
