Each to their own, Bill.

What the heck? :(

Does this mean your Dad might still want to help you, though?

It looks like he does. I talked to him about the whole thing and it was my mom all along. My dad looks at the whole house thing as a good investment for him and the right thing to do to help us out. It's my mom who doesn't want to help us at all. She sent the e-mail while dad was at work from his e-mail account. But I'm guessing that in the end they won't split, because she is horribly dependent on his money and she's convinced him that he can't live without her. :(

I am an apple, but you can't juice me for I am juice free.

I don't think you have quite got the hang of this higher education thing.

Maybe not, but I need the money from my job to be able to travel in to uni and buy books, so that my student loan can be spent on moving out some time, although that's not really cost-effective for me yet. Besides, working in a balloon shop means I'm getting "retail experience" and I can use a till and things, so I can get a better job when I have more time for it. If I hadn't had a job before by the time I graduated, it'd be a lot more difficult to get paid work if I wanted any while I was I don't know, doing a teaching conversion or writing. I may not be being a proper student, but I guess I always feel like I have to be practical, especially economically. I only work Saturdays at the balloon shop unless they need an extra hand, so I get to earn at least some money for summer and then term time, without compromising the holiday that I do really need. You all know how much I stress about assignments and exams.
Phew!

Ben is awake and wondering what the day holds in store for him.

Last day of July today. And only five weeks til September! :)

Nat is super super tired. Richard Herring tonight though, so it's all good.

The BCG meet and my birthday! What a month!

Is it? How old are you then Ben? 25?

I have a house filled with sleeping band members and just woke up to make a huge fruit salad for breakfast. Strawberries, pineapple, grapes, blueberries, bananas and raspberries: it's almost good enough to make my head stop hurting.

Are all those bottles empty or full?

They are empty bottles that will soon be filled with my delicious homemade beer.
