Love The IT Crowd. Even when it's not at its best, it's still better than most other current Brit sitcoms.

Totally agree, I gave up after teh first few episodes not knowing how good it had become.
Havent seen The IT Crowd before this series and was really looking forward to it after seeing the adverts.
So far I think it's been very hit and miss. The first 3 eps were funny in places but not brilliant. Then episode 4, the Seaparks one, had me in stitches. It's definitely been the best ep of the series. But last week's ep, while funny in places, annoyed me because of the unrealistic robot/bomb joke. The fact that Moss and Roy could just wander up the street and stand next to the bomb while the rest of the staff were not allowed past from the other end was just stupid and meant I couldn't enjoy any jokes in the scene.
I'm hopin' for a brilliant finale tonight though.

But in the sort of comedic world Linehan sets his comedy, his characters absolutley could have done that.

I was living in London whilst the IRA were still active, and very often it was possible to sneak through a restricted area to take a short cut, rather than be delayed by what you hoped was just another hoax. So it's feasible to arrive in the situation they found themselves.

Most papers have the odd uncharacteristically good and bad columnist. The Guardian is no exception.

Ten minutes in and only a minute of Roy and Moss? Is this the moment the show jumps the shark?!
And it's also the first time this series we've had a single storyline.
I think this episode is rather boring. A bit like the 'Whacking Day' episode of The Simpsons.
