Sitcom (Com)Mission Page 92

to be quite honest I was joking....we don't even pay, we're too old

Jeese, I tell you it's not easy writing a third one! :O

I leave this post for a few days and when I come back it's full of fighting, arguing and general squabbles.

Plus the word 'pissy', which looks very odd written down.

Hauling the topic back to The Sitcom Mission, the way I see it is this...
The people that want to enter will enter. People who either don't want to enter or can't enter for whatever reason won't enter. It's up to individual preference and whether people can spare the time or feel that they should spare the time.

It might mean that a potentially brilliant sitcom might be unentered because the writer isn't prepared to write three episodes, but on the other hand it might unearth a gem of a sitcom because the writer has worked very hard on it.

I know that I'll be giving it a go anyway. And I bet you're all scared now, right?

Right?

Good luck with it Penge, it's quite a challenge eh? :)

Yeah, but if it was easy then there'd be little point doing it. I like a challenge! I thought the previous Sitcom Mission was quite challenging and I did OK with that, so it should be good.

With hindsight, I should have done more with the scripts that got through to the last 32/16. At the time I was pretty stunned to have got that far and I didn't really think about rewrites, which I think proved to be my downfall in the end.

Poor you. Was it quite distressing for your sensitive soul. I feel we've all let you down.

nowt like conflict to clear the air.....it makes for good sitcom writing too LOL

I'm over it now, I've had time to recover.

Yeah, there will be a mighty unearthing because the Industry itself has missed this trick of writing three fifteen minute sitcom scripts which all the commissioners want to see, Shame on you lazy potentially brilliant sitcom writers!

Oh alright then, I was wrong. Whatever.

I'm just going to drink tea and eat biscuits.

Unless someone has a problem with that, which, given the mood of everyone on here recently, I imagine is highly likely.

boooooorin'

Well are you right or not? Biscuits aside?

Never aside the biscuits!

Perhaps I made my point a little too emphatically. I was essentially trying to say, in a roundabout kind of way, that you can't know what's going to happen with the three scripts issue until it's done. Which, on reflection, is stating the obvious.

Custard cream anyone?

I'd rather have a red wine thanks....well, a few red wines

I'm really looking forward to the opportunity again...top 500 last time.
