We were supposed to have seats upstairs the first time, but there was a door into the pit left momentarilly unguarded, and we scooted on in. What tinkers we were.

Seats are awful when you're under 50. I think I've only had seats for one gig. That was Blur in 1999. Fun night. Phil Daniels came on for Parklife.

He narrated the Quadrophenia performances at Madison Square Garden in New York back in 1996. I caught 2 shows and they were fabulous.

I heard he did that. I was listening to that album only earlier today.

In other news, Arcade Fire's new album out on Monday. Getting stellar reviews everywhere. I wasn't that bowled over by Neon Bible, but it was still good.

It's still my favourite album after first buying it more than 30 years ago. Phil sat almost right above my head during the show. He sort of dangled his feet over a ledge and they'd hit him with a spotlight for his narration bits.

I missed meeting Phil Daniels at the Blur X exhibition back in 1999. Damn shame.

I'm rather enjoying Young Adult Friction by The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.

I heard that this morning on the way to work. <3

Mine should arrive tomorrow, hopefully! I was told yesterday that it's on its way.

They're the hip kid's choice, the Robyn.

Oh, early delivery, eh? I've had that a few times before. Always a nice treat.

Suede - So Young

The film review show on Five Live. It's not the same without Kermode and Mayo.

It'd be like that Brits show presented by Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood.
