The shortest time span you have had at a Job. Page 5

Full Job History. Lating 5 years to 1 week.

Oct 1999 - April 2005 - Wilkinson, lasted 5 years 6 months 12 days and 12 hours.

November 2004 - January 2006 (suspended in Dec 2005) - telling customers that their sofa would be there when you knew it wouldnt. Getting told you had ruined alot of kids Christmas's by parents who hadnt bothered to order toys until 23rd december. I was sacked as they suspected me of trying to fiddle the bonus scheme by havng little or no time off system by pressing the wrong buttons to get my times down. I was in fact ill with a chest infection but after faking insomnia for 3 months I had no more sick time left.

Feb 2006 on and off til May 2006 - packing Guinness and working at B&Q with people who decided to steal some of the booze in the guinness place (it also did vodka).

Somerfield in Toxteth in Liverpool, last 3 weeks before I had had enough of the scally tramps.

Morrisons July 2006 - September 2007, left after my bakery manager told me I'd enjoy prison when I dropped the soap. Management wouldnt discipline him so I walked.

XLN Telecom - Sept 2007 - October 2007 ( 1 Week) Walking to shops and small businesses asking if they wanted to sign up for a phone & internet service. Decided that it was a pyramid scheme so left. Plus I was shit at it.

B&M Bargains September 2008 - January 2009. Had to report them to Environmental Health when they refused to get the heating repaired. I was 'let go' so I assume they found out.

The Thompsons Arms - November 2008 - November 2009. Gay pub on Gay Village in Manchester. The axing of my bus put paid to my late night antics :(

Next - February 2010 - Present. Well if I get to October 2015 it'll be my longest lasting job.

Dude, you've had some shit jobs. Sorry, man.

Wow, that's 11 years of f**king horrible employment. You know how to use Word, right? Maybe Excel? You should get yourself to a temp agency and make a fresh start in office admin or something. In a year or two you'll be earning double what you're getting from Next and you get to faff around on the net most of the day instead of folding badly tailored trousers. I know, I know, this is the second time in as many days I've offered unsolicited advice in regards to employment but it breaks my heart to see someone working in retail when they could have it so much easier behind a desk. Trust me, I've served my time in customer service and once you've made the jump you'll never go back.

Had two jobs that lasted roughly three-quarters of an hour. Didn't fancy them at all, so I pissed off.

Fantastic David Carmon.

But I'd wipe that post. More and more knobber enmployers will Google your name beofre appointing.

Don't you get depressed being called sweet cheeks and getting your arse pinched?

It's all I do. And to think that four years ago I was working on a building site making £50 a day!

So roughly what's the kickback for being a PA?

I don't PA anymore, I'm an Administrator (whatever that means). It pays £30k and 8 weeks holiday a year and demands nothing of me.

I try to act like I don't love it but I do.

8 weeks holiday ? Jaysus. I thought I got good holiday allowance.

Education is the key. Working in Education that is. Lord knows you don't have to be educated.

I'm about to apply for some admin jobs at unis. Any tips? :)

Make up your typing speed and exagerate your word processing skills.

And don't mention the fact I'm loving the 8 weeks of holiday?
