Sketch Writing Opp Page 3
My script was rejected-which was just as well, because I'd never get to Manchester...
Did you get a rejection email? Because I just got one entitled "Venue" with the venue address. Nothing else.
I got no reply.
I got an email asking me not to submit anything.

Yes I got a rejection email, it seems they haven't learnt how to create mass emails. Perhaps Chip, it's an acceptance but they want to stop too many groups turning up?
(or indeed, any)
I never got any email, but just now got an email saying they have their own people who will do a script-in-hand reading and therefore seemed to suggest they were doing something of mine, without saying so explicitly. I have emailed for clarification.

I was sent the same email today. I replied asking whether (and assuming) it was a mistake. Not really sure what I'd get out of it if it isn't a mistake; I won't be able to go to Manchester to watch, anyway.
Looks like they will be performing a sketch of mine, which is very nice. Nicer if was going to be able to watch it, but unfortunately won't be able to on such short notice. I imagine a producer in the audience will see my sketch performed, enquire as to who wrote it, contact me, and I'll have my own six part series on air by Novemeber.
I got the same e mail I think
It does say "as a writer you will be entitled to one complimentary ticket"
So I guess I might have got something in as well.
But I can't get to Manchester either.
Don't you now have to assemble a talented team of actors and send them to Manchester?

No, they've got actors to do them all now. Not sure why I really sent anything now, as I'm not going to see it or get anything out of it. Still, it's nice to be picked I suppose!
Maybe a Manchester poster would be kind enough to attend and record your sketches?

Ah, I remember:
"An industrious panel of comedy connoisseurs will pick an overall winner on the night. And the prize is one that money can't buy: a one-to-one mentoring session with Gill Isles, producer at Baby Cow, Manchester - Steve Coogan and Henry Normal's company."
If I win, Baby Cow in London is much closer (I've been a few times!), I wonder if Gill would come down here for a chat instead?

I got that email too. I've noted down your email address so I can send anonymous taunts about how bad On The Blog is.
