Can we have somewhere where we don't need to go downstairs to the bar. I liked the first two venues we had for BCG meets although the Greenwich one was obviously a nightmare.

Things that are likely to be overheard at the BCG meet, latest odds ...
'Shit turnout, innit? Don't think I'll bother next year.' - Evens
'I'm really enjoying this!' - 200/1
'Shame Kenneth couldn't make it.' - 500/1
'Who's Kenneth?' - 2/1

Once again, you've tickled me, Don. Why people dislike you is a mystery to me. It really is.

The one I went to was really well attended. You even made an appearance of sorts.
Someone wearing a Don Rushmore T shirt?
Evens.

Isn't it because he's a cock?
Just kidding Don your great.
Quote: Ben @ July 23 2010, 1:47 PM BSTI wonder who will follow Bandage and Billwill in being this year's glass smasher.
Yeah, please smash all the breakable ones before I get there.
Quote: Godot Taxis @ July 22 2010, 12:35 AM BSTHave you booked the venue? Otherwise I would suggest changing it. You get me, Badge and shoepie and maybe Chappers- not a bad deal.
Anyone in charge want to answer this one from four pages back?
Not really.
Quote: Aaron @ July 24 2010, 2:15 AM BSTNot really.
Okay, well pardon me for questioning the wisdom of arranging a date for a meet up of people without finding out if they're available beforehand.
The fact is that the same people regularly attend these events and if you consulted re dates before hand, you could have got them all.
Then you could be rude to their faces.

It does seem dictatorial, but I imagine any date decided on would inconvenience someone.

We tried consulting in the past and just got exactly the same debate as we're having now along with half a dozen different date suggestions. It doesn't work. No matter when we choose to hold it, it's going to be inconvenient for someone! I'm hoping we might be able to hold something a little more 'official' closer to Christmas this year, so maybe we'll see you then.
The other disadvantage to consulting is that it can start looking like we're actively trying to avoid people when we have to go for a date that they've explicitly stated that they can't make.

Oh well. Let's have our own then. But I may not come though.

The good news is that it is unlikely I'll come as I am so anti-social and well, just anti really (as y'all know)!
Just because you're a woman whose brother is a father is no reason not to attend.
