Newsjack - Series 3 Page 45

Poor Trabs -- already forgotten after blitzing the last episode. How fickle a bunch we are...

Ep 1: Trabs (I believe)
Ep 6: Trabs and DrVole also.

Dan

And Jinky and FCW both made the credit list in the last show. I'm looking forward to FCW's change in outlook and demeanor after getting a credit. ;)

(Don't worry it only last a couple of weeks I'm now back to railing against the world and crying out how unfair it all is after my mid-series peak)

FCW, Dr Vole & The Producer what did you get on last night? Some good sketches so curious which ones came from people here.

I'm going to go slightly against the flow and say I thought the first episode was the best in the series but still good quality last night. Think I enjoyed the more mixed-up nature of this series. New voices, different script editors and a different feel to the show each week. Even noticed that the Miles-interviews-expert sketches are on the decline.

Fame is a fickle mistress.

I didn't get anything in in Ep1 though. Two last night.

A good final week for BCG - congrats to all!

Mine was the first part of the post-credits Archive Hour bit, i.e. Big Society bit. It was part of a 1 min alternative history of Britain "Archive Hour", but they just used that bit - possibly swayed by the fact that my full version would have meant the series ending with a snarled "piss off"...

Sorry, it seems to be posted in the wrong place.

And I managed to sneak two sketches into ep 4 and one (rewritten) into ep 6.

So, a good showing from the BGC massive. Respect.

This hopefully is the correct list.

I'm a BCG user, part-time anyway (got a new baby and work's blocked access to the site - what can you do?)

My record with BBC open submissions:-

- Sketch Factor (Play and Record) - sent stuff in and...nowt.

- RFTP (Every series they opened submissions for) - sent stuff in....nothing.

- Tilt - sent stuff in...nada.

- 7 x 7 (pre-newsjack show) - sent stuff in...zilch.

- Laura Solon - sent stuff in...zero.

- Newsjack series one - sent stuff in...blank.

- Newsjack series two - sent stuff in...etc.

- Newsjack series three - sent stuff in.........got one-liners in eps 3,4,5 & 6!!!!!

Obviously when I got the email I replied saying I didn't find the wind-up amusing!

Anyway, I keep sending stuff and always will - even if I'd not got anything in again this series - cos it's a great way to exercise your comedy muscles. If you're serious about writing comedy it's like going to the gym - plus there's a chance you might get paid!

Hope that's in some way helpful to people who're feeling rejected/bitter etc. Just keep at it - you might not win, but you won't lose.

I, too, am a part-time user but I haven't stolen any babies and my employer refuses point blank to block access to this site. I did sneak a sketch into Ep3, and if you don't add me to your hall-of-fame table I'll ... actually, I'm not that bothered. ;)

Well said. My sentiments exactly.

Look can't someone else change the table? It was complicated enough to start off with.

By the way what's with the five exclamation marks? You don't have to shout.

No need?

NO NEED!!?!?!?!?!!!!!!??!!!!!!!???

You can add me to episode three also - had a correction.

I discovered this forum at just about the same time as the show, so just about qualify.

(grumbles something incomprehensible)

Woohoo! That was mine. :D

Your sketch was on pick of the week a few hours ago.

So, don't forget to ask for an extra cheque, and remember us when you're sipping that whisky manhattan poolside in Malibu.
