No, Zooo.
In my opinion, it's hardly Threads.
Anyway, how much of this show do Mitchell and Webb actually write? I'm led to believe that a fair few writers contribute.
Looking at the credits, as these things go, it seems to be a relatively tight-knit group dominated by the extended cast, and the Peep Show writers.

Here's an example. Series 3 episode 1:
Evil Voice (David Mitchell & Robert Webb)
Jan Hankl's Flank Pat system (Simon Kane)
Apprentice spoof (David Mitchell & Jonathan Dryeden Taylor)
The Quiz Broadcast (Mitchell & Jonathan Dryden Taylor incorporating material from sketch by Joel Morris & Jason Hazeley)
Brain surgeon (Jesse Armstrong, Sam Bain & the Dawson Brothers)
M&W action figures (Chris Reddy)
Policeman vs. community support officer (Mitchell & Webb)
Get Me Hennimore! (David Mitchell & Toby Davies)
The Linden Trees (Simon Kane)
Rob's dog catapult security thing (Richard Law)
Is British TV dumbing down? (Robert Webb)
Lazy Writers: Spies (Mitchell & Webb)
Russ Claus (Chris Reddy)

Quote: chipolata @ July 21 2010, 1:09 PM BSTAs with so many Mitchell and Webb sketches, I enjoyed the idea behind the sketch far more than the actual sketch. It was the same with the Moon Landing Conspiracy sketch - loved the idea behind it, but didn't quite jel on screen.
That said, overall it was an enjoyable show. Still no where near a classic sketch show, but raises a smile more often than not.
Yup.
I enjoyed this weeks. Was fun and I preferred it over last week's for some reason. The fighting parents annoy me.
Yeah, I didn't like that sketch.
The sketch in the cramped office was the funniest thing I've seen in yonks.
For me "Get Me Hennimore!" is particularly feeble, and the Bickering Snooker guys the best. I still enjoy the show but, well it seems to be a bit more patchy. .
An improvement on last week's, but generally still seems lacking in originality. Enjoyed the deconstructive 'Next On The Gift Shop Sketch' (though it went on too long). Not (as yet) been a real back-of-the-net hit in this series, but I'm sure there will be at some point.
Anyway, in a few years, when they produce some "best of" DVDs of That M&W Look, we'll likely look back on this show as easily the best British sketch show since Big Train.
