Dude, are you getting the info about Roger and Nick straight from Wikipedia, because if so that site is very inaccurate and can be updated by anybody. I do believe you about the next episode though, I've seen a little review of it on IMDB. Ben forgets Valentine's Day, Susan has a stalker and Janey gets hooked on high energy drinks (hence the fast line.)
My Family - Series 10 Page 8
No, Nick DEFINITELY comes back, as my mate went to see a different one in February, and he saw him. But it does also say it on Wiki. I know it can be innacurate but he is back, trust me!
'Desperatley Stalking Susan' is mainly about Ben and Susan again, with odd bits from Janie, Michael, their neighbour (Susan's stalker) and his wife.

I apologise for being sceptical but there's no evidence apart from your "a mate of a mate" thingy and an article on Wikipedia, which is hardly the most reliable website in the world. I have heard from several sources that Nick does not appear in series ten and then the wild rumours that he does. I'm swayed towards him not returning I'm afraid simply because I don't want to get my hopes up!
When your mate attended the recording, he should've been given a slip of paper which includes the episode title, the main cast, guest stars and of course, the writer. Would you be able to PM this title to me?

I totally understand why you are sceptical, as it isnt a very reliable sorce, but I know my mate wouldnt lie about something like that.
I'm seeing him on Saturday, so I'll ask him then.
I'm reckoning it would have been announced officially if he were to return as they would want the best ratings possible for the new series.

If he was returning regularly, perhaps. Not necessarily if he was a guest in one or two separate episodes. And certainly not announced yet if the episode(s) he's in are Series 11, not 10.
Quote: Aaron @ July 16 2010, 9:06 PM BSTErrr... Did Ben not say, in episode one, to Michael that "you don't live here anymore"? And now he's objecting to his behaviour, not emptying the bin etc, whilst living there rent free? This is the trouble with having separate writers.
Yep was thinking this myself. Apparently in next weeks episode of 'The Old Guys' you will get the impression it's the first time Tom and Roy meet Rajan, despite him being in the two episodes up to now.
Been in Northern Ireland for the weekend, just got back and watched 'My Family' now from Friday night. It was an interesting episode. Made me laugh quite a bit. Despite well passing its best, 'My Family' is still capable of delivering the laughs. Though it does seem extremely unrealistic and the family sitcom is perhaps now explored a lot better in 'Outnumbered', this has been a decent series up to now, with two more 'edgier' topics being subject in the opening two episodes.

It'd be interesting to hear if that is indeed true that Kris Marshall is returning. Personally I do think it unlikely but then again apart from the BT adverts he hasn't had much work lately... and, if it was a Series 11 episode or episodes, I suppose it is possible they'd keep his return quiet until then.
I'm still sceptical though.
I think Kris should have returned for a couple of episodes per series, he was always able to add a bit of colour and a different type of humour to the programme.
This is series 10 right? But according to Wiki, (yeah I know, not always reliable) Robert Lindsay said "As far as Zoe (Wanamaker) and I are concerned, we will do a tenth series of 16 episodes, which the BBC will probably split into a tenth and eleventh, then that will be it."
So have series 10 and 11 been filmed in their entirety with just series 11 to be broadcast next year? So ideally they have a 9 part 10th series and a 7 part 11th series?
Yes, both have been filmed. I believe it's 2 x 8, not 9 and 7 (why would that be 'ideal'?).
Quote: Aaron @ July 20 2010, 9:36 PM BSTYes, both have been filmed. I believe it's 2 x 8, not 9 and 7 (why would that be 'ideal'?).
The series ten DVD appears to have 9 episodes on it, leaving series eleven with 7 episodes. Although, I agree - 2 x 8 would have been more logical.
Appears to by what?
Yeah it is kinda odd the way they have done it, I remember when the series used to have 13 episodes each. I hope we see a Christmas special this year too.
That amount of episodes was when it was at it's peak though and it was getting above average viewing figures, now it's just getting average ones.

The Son'll Come Out achieved an overnight ratings share of 4.35 million, aka 20.3% of the viewing audience, which, at present, means it was the most watched programme at 9pm in the U.K.
