Rebadging

A wee sketch I made in collaboration with the BCG's own Chopz. This is the 60 second cut made to promote trade unions...

I liked the performances, but not really sure what to make of the actual sketch. There weren't really any laughs for me - I thought when Chopz said he knew what a venn diagram was he was lying - him on the spot could have been funny. Plus, why was he holding his collar throughout? Actually, I liked the Dan/Derek mixup at the end.

Nce performances and punchline. But the journey from tool to tool box isn't clear enough in my view.

Kind of agree, really top performances... but the sketch was a bit errrrr...

Cheers for reading, guys. Bit of a queer one, this - there's a 60 second cut of it been made for a TUC advert - a sort of 'join a trade union and this won't happen' kind of thing. I was hoping that, ad libs included and without the final ident, it might stand as a sketch on its own. From the feedback I'm getting so far it seems not. Ah well, worth a shot.

Oh, and the collar thing was a character bit Stuart added - he's forgotten a tie and he's trying to conceal the fact.

Wasn't he wearing a tie?

I fail to see how in even the broadest sense this skit reffers to cheesey biscuits.

Sorry, you're quite right - it was that he'd lost his top button.

I worked on that character for months leading up to the filming of this sketch, right down to the smallest tic and some jack-the-lad trashes in with an opinion on why the character I fully embodied (and unfortunately filed divorce proceedings with my actual wife) would cover his neck.

It's called acting dear and some of us truly care about what we bring to the screen.

Exeunt.

Laughing out loud

Now you've done it, Danny, I'm going to be sprinkling gardenias in the temperamental bastard's wake everywhere he goes now!

did you just sneeze and call me a c**t?

Yeah, it seemed not as polished this one. Nice performances but it's just missing that 'pizzazz'.

Dan

If I ran a pizza joint I would call it 'pizzazz'. In other news, if I ran a fusion Mexican/Japanese restaurant I would call it 'Jap's Aye Carumba'.
