How is that the same thing? The Daily Show doesn't have half a dozen stand-ups working on it. At this time of year, most of them will be working on Edinburgh shows and such like.

So during the Fringe EVERY SINGLE comedian in Britain is in Edinburgh?

Yes. Because that's exactly what I said, isn't it?

MOST of them. Others will be preparing for larger tours, working on other projects or just having a Summer break.

It's still a show where you have to accomodate lots of different performers, rather than just a few who work exclusively on one programme.

Well, probably a good idea not to schedule a run of this just before Edinburgh then. If not for this show we'd never have heard of half the acts featured.

I'd have thought it was the perfect time if you had a show on at Edinburgh - no better plug for it.

Why not just record the show in Edinburgh?

Or, better still, just not bother.

I'm not really sure why I started posting on this thread.

Something to do, I suppose.

It's the BCG creed we all live by!

I'm not sure why people seem to be so angry they had a week off.

Laughing out loud

It's not anger, it's just surprise that a show with a 9 week run needs to take a week off after 4 shows.

Not from fatigue, though. Just a slight scheduling clash.

Mock The Week is funny. Jon Stewart is not. 1 vs 4.

Incorrect. It's the other way round.

I just learned that Patrick Kilety is not on tonight. Seann Walsh is on instead.

Is he the one that looks like a curly haired bear?

I think when he last appeared he described himself as a Thundercat on heroin.
