Nooooooooooo not you lols the arse who posted the original comment :)

Just William Just William, stayin on topic on topic see!

Just William

Laughing out loud Fair enough I was confused, but I have had some out of left field attacks tonight so I am sensitive! :)

Anyway Just William was set originally in the thirties I think not the twenties and suffered from Richmal taking him though to the sixties and seventies.

If you (Just william's great, still on topic) had said it then I probably wouldn't be offended by it, most of the regulars take the piss out of stuff on a regular basis but all in good humour, which is cool, no harm in it. But when some random (with 4 posts) puts it it sounds a bit, well, dodgy.

Ah well, hope he gets anal raped on the way to pick up his dole money some day. :) :O

When is this Just William thing on anyway? Is it still in production stages?

See if it had said, I think he may be a gayer then it wouldn't be offensive, but 'one of them'

I thought that was off too.
Hence my consternation.

(Thanks by the way, Marc) ;)

I don't look for these things, I let people do the work for me.

Cool

Awwwww, the guide said that the 90s version didn't work :(

I have happy memories of that version.

I have vague memories of it, and enjoying it, but it wasn't a particular success or critically favoured, certainly not compared to the 1970s version.

As Enid Blyton once said, the only critics that matter are the children that read (or in this case watch) it. :) As a child of 10/11 at the time I say it was brilliant and award it 9/10.

Richmal was an old family name. I once had an email from her grand nephew (who was the inspiriation for the last William).

It once said in the Radio Times (long time ago) that they were going to do a Just William as an adult series. I guess the family didn't give permission for it, or something.

Fascinating stuff, thanks for sharing that! :)
