One can use kitchen roll as toilet roll whereas using toilet roll as kitchen roll has some major disavantages !

What the deuce? I use a brand of absorbent sponge cloth called Wettex to clean up any kitchen spills. A single cloth lasts for about a year. Kitchen roll just seems to be an extravagant waste of paper.

Kitchen roll isn't just for wiping up spills.
I like to have a piece folded in half triangularly to gently dab the corner of my mouth when eating.
Especially at a riparian supper.
Fiction books with photos of real people on the front. Popped in Smiths today and saw Under The Dome by Stephen King has loads of alternate covers, each one with a real person looking up. Now when I read it, I'll see the person on the front as a character, not someone conjured up in my imagination.
I hope that makes sense.
I totally agree. Which is also the same reason I try to avoid films before reading the book. It ruins it for me.

Weirdly enough, in a lot of cases recently I've enjoyed watching the film adaptation first before reading the book. That way you get enjoyment from both, whereas in reverse order the film inevitably never quite lives up to the book.
American Psycho, Atonement, I Am Legend & Tess of the d'Ubervilles (TV) all spring to mind.

Agreed. I hate it when books feature covers which are stills of film adaptations too.
