Mel Gibson tape Page 7

David Hasselhoff lying on the floor drunk, trying to eat a Wendy's burger and telling his daughter to f**k off looks quite a refined gentleman.

The Hoff looks like a fun drunk. I'd love to get wankered with him.

Reality TV show idea -- Gibson and Hasselhoff forced to run a Nazi-themed bar in Oakland for a month. Tell them they can hit the top shelf for free.

Hasselhoff is a much better drunk, just gets tired and woozy with slurred speech, not aggressive and nasty. Incidentally, Mel Gibson tried to hit on (poor choice of phrase) one of my aunts at a party in Sydney many years ago. She said he got upset because she didn't know who he was, until her her friends later told her he was a movie star.

Sounds like a lucky escape.

Reminds me of an ex of mine who was hit on by John Leslie back in the 90s.

Let's not forget that, no matter how vile Gibson may be, his missus is the one who's recorded his drunken rants and released them to the media, possibly ending his career and costing the man tens of millions of dollars in future income. I'd say that qualifies as *quite* bitchy.

She was only able to do it because he was such a c**t he'd done it countless times before. And Gibson's career was on the wane anyway. Not that he'll ever be short of money.

Maybe acting-wise. But then again, he's only been in about two films in the last decade!

With a bit of luck he'll do time for the assault. And you know what those California prisons are like... he might get bumsexed, which would make him an abomination in the eyes of the Lord.

That'll give him something to be angry about.

Well, as a leading man he was knocking on. Plus all his previous trouble with the police and anti-semitism has taken the shine off him. I think he'll still be able to direct, though. He might find it harder raising money and getting big stars, but if this means more oddball films like Apocalypto I'm all for it.

C'mon, guys, he IS Australian.

He's actually directing a new film at the moment; I bet whoever invested in that is feeling pretty happy.

Having said that, the only things you can't come back from are murder and child abuse stuff. So he'll probably just confess to Oprah and it'll all be okay.

Depends if he drops a few N-Bombs in the green room afterwards.

He clearly has MASSIVE anger issues. I just don't understand what he's got to be so angry about. He's been rich and successful his entire career.
Where does it all come from?

I'd suggest from those in his life who fail to meet his expectations, turn out to have faults, be unreliable, unfaithful or divorce him and expect to take half his considerable wealth for doing little more than, someone like him might say 'simply lying on her back'.

I'm just guessing going by the media images and stories of him. He also has very high standards and a rather strong conservative religious streak. BUT would he have achieved all he has without that dogmatic, patriarchcal side to him? He is very driven by SOMETHING.

In his good films like Lethal Weapon he is stunningly charismatic.

He is really likeable on screen in many of his films. The slightly comedic ones like the Lethal Weapons, What Women Want, Air America etc (he was in that, right?)
I don't much like him in ultra serious or historical stuff at all.

I also disliked The Patriot and Braveheart. But I thought Gallipoli and The Year of Living Dangerously were very good.
