The all-in-one consolidatory football thread Page 158

I don't think they are now.

Looks like Robben is the man of the tournament.

And also they're saying that this is the most "together" the Dutch have been in a tournament.

Has that got something to do with the fact for once there are no blacks in the team - and it's in South Africa...

Or am I being boering?

Let's hope Holland can beat Jerry anyway, ay Chappers?

"We want our bikes back!"

Yeah, and woould you beleive the bloody Germans stole him from us! 'Paul' was born in Weymouth. That's a star in the making, I bet Derren Brown's on the phone to his agent right now, he ain't gonna be cheap tho, because he's got a greedy footballing agent.

I reckon he should replace Capello. He obviously knows more about football than him.

He should definitely replace Capello, and as long as he doesn't go to the same restaurants as the food loving Iti I think he'll bring us a trophy or two, at long last.

Owen Hargreaves injured again! Will that guy ever catch a break! England could have done with him.

The majority of the very best footballers have rarely had serious injuries, whether it's fate or it's a proper strong constitution born or bred into them, so I suggest that Hargreaves wasn't born to be a great player.

Just one example, Georgy Best, a small, skinny almost frail looking bloke, hardly ever missed a game through injury, in the days when they played even more mathces than today. Not only that but he was truly brilliant in the vast majority of them.

I always had trouble with my feet when I used to play. My soles and toes always seemed to get cut really easily, which meant I'd usually have to wear plasters. Also, in all the years I played, I never found a pair of boots that I really felt comfortable in.

I'm quite similar. I can never find a pair of boots that actually work for me. Maybe I am too used to just going for a kick-about with a few friends but boots seem to have a negative effect on my ability to control the ball. Either that or I'm just useless.

I'm heartbroken. He should never have left Bayern.

I'll maybe put a squid on them.

Sucker.

If the final was over 8 legs I may have had a go.
