Sending your script to Marc Blake

I am at the point where I would like some pro help looking at my script. I have heard about Marc Blake and that he offers a good service but know nothing beyond this.

What I want to know is if any of you have used Marc's services. Was he helpful, did he provide good feedback, were his comment fair and so forth?

I am interested to hear you experiences (so I hope someone replies! lol)

Def.

I'm about to send a script to Marc, heard nothing but good things, can't say anymore just now.

Hi Def,

(actually I should say "Hello Def" or it sounds like I'm talking about HD TV)

Anyway, if it's of any help we've been compiling a list of testimonials about Marc's service - they can be viewed here. Those are, believe it or not, all genuine comments made by members of this site who have used Marc's services. You might recognise some of the names so perhaps a couple of them might explain more by posting here.

I sent one of my very first sitcom scripts to Marc last year, he gave me some good advice and little tips, it is a bit expensive but I suppose if you have the cash it's worth it.

Most producers will give you pointers free of charge though.

I think Producers should pay me to listen to their f**king pointers!!!

Who do they think they are??? ;)

In reality, £60 for good advice sounds like money well spent, I feel!

His references do look good...

I'm quoted on Marc's testimonails and I have to say I found his script report to be worth the money. He is insightful and will point out faults and deficiencies in your script in detail.

When you're sending a script to producers/readers you only get one chance (usually). Marc's detailed script report may allow you to send in a re-write which makes the difference.

Yes I reckon that's fair comment, geezer!

if i ever write a script i probably will try marc, sounds like a good idea.

I used Marc last year and my writing has improved greatly because of it. I recommend him.

I used Marc after I broke my leg and he helped me claim £4000.

Thank you Marc!

Do you reckon Mr Blake will take other forms of payment?

Shall I ring him & ask or do I just turn up with my script let him sort it all out for me, then offer him a form of payment he can't refuse. Oh decisions!!!

He's probably not that desperate. And if he's not now it'll probably turn him gay.

Money well spent in my view. Useful comments and suggestions from Marc, made me produce a honed re-write when I'd almost decided (pre comments) it was shite and yet another project to be consigned to the bin.
