S o no problem with all the robbing and murdering then? Cowboy is part of the sub-genre of send-up Carry Ons, and Sid is in bad guy character, he is not supposed to be a cheeky chappy.

But - and this is hardly likely to bolster my argument in your eyes - a frame of footage from Carry On Cowboy appears in an episode of The Young Ones. (Though The Young Ones seems widely disliked by the Philistines who failed to watch it when it was first broadcast because they weren't yet born.)
Ha! Well, I suppose that makes it slightly better.
(I quite like The Young Ones. Parts of it anyway.)

A contender, as are the afore mentioned Girls, Loving and At Your Convenience, as well as Dick and Henry.
Of all the carry on regulars Jim Dale probably had the best strike rate, I am struggling to think of a true turd he was in, though Again Doctor and Don't Lose Your Head were nothing to write home about.
