Football fans just can not take any form of criticism. The whole world bends over backwards to accommodate them. Schedules are changed, half the newspaper is filled up with football. Everyone goes out of their way for football and it's fans. But if one journalist or comedian says something bad about the game. They act like oppressed victims. If anything gets in the way of a game. Then they moan and bitch like a bunch of little girls. For a culture that is all about being a hard man this is very telling. I boils down to the fact that football fans are spoilt when it comes to the game that they love. Any problems with it and they throw a tantrum. It would be laughable if it where not so pathetic.
