When I've had scripts rejected in the past, naturally you get the usual e-mail saying 'Enjoyed it, thanks but no thanks'. Everytime I receive that e-mail or letter, I always follow it up and ask why. People have given me detailed feedback in the past, including extended notes from a BBC producer/director on one occasion, and a bunch of independent production company people have also been willing. If you're polite then they often respond.
Sometimes the feedback I've received from people at production companies or BBC etc has been short, but to the point. Still really helpful. I still stand by my initial thoughts that production people will be more honest, paid readers I still think might feel like they owe you something. Just my opinion.

It will include generic examples of this yes. Re-written and re-versioned to protect the guilty.

I was always sceptical of people who charge for such a service, but recently bit the bullet, took a punt and used another script critic I got out of yellow pages. He wrote back saying 'It's shit, that will be £500 please'.

That's bad. At least Marc's is only £75. Unless he informed you of that price before reading it, surely you don't have to pay £500. Although something similar did happen to Larry David on Curb. I think a lawyer charged him over a grand, after she'd read his script. He refused to pay her, then had to ask her for money in order for him to get out of the car park. Love it.
