After last week's episode really quite disappointed with episode two. Liked the Famous Five Fun Fair sketch and the Nick Clegg puppet but definitely more misses than hits.
And as for the Vox pops / Corrections apart from the Bobby Fischer joke I thought most were poor. Esp. New Zealand one and the Viagara one. After that and the Doctor Who crack last week I'll look forward to a set of one-liners about flat-pack furniture, watching the football results in Radio Rentals window and mother-in-laws.
I am wondering if things have been a bit chaotic in the NJ office the last week or so. Andi Osho is still on the webpage as being in the cast and was in episode one so her exit seems a bit sudden. Suddenly all those two females sketches are consigned to the bin so that must leave them a bit short. (Sure that's what happened to mine)
And yes, in previous series a flat sketch could always be lifted by Lewis's Gordon Brown impression and his 'Um'. Although I think generally a change of government leaves you scratching around for new mannerisms and characteristics to put on the new incumbents. Here's hoping Cameron turns out more like Thatcher than Major, at least in that respect.
