Is Newsrevue still running?

I've e-mailed to find out more about submitting, as I was told once you e-mail mail@newsrevue.com they would send you submission info quite quickly.

I've sent a few e-mails over the past 2-3 weeks but have heard nothing.

A friend sent me some submission info he'd received from them a few years back, so I went from that, but wasn't totally sure as I thought that three years down the line they might have changed their process of writers submitting stuff.

Any help appreciated. Cheers.

You can try submissions@newsrevue.com too, but they're well known as being awful with the admin side of things.

They are still running, just send your scripts.

You should get the running orders by e-mail.

And a gnomic cheque by post

They won't acknowledge but will credit you (if they choose something of yours) providing you put your name on the script - and get paid eventually.

When you were at the height of your Newsrevue fame, Sooty, how much were you getting from each run? PM the amount if you want.

I got £32 for my recent run - 5 first week, 3 second week and then 1 for nex 2 (I think!)

Your bloody loaded. How are you Dave The Grave Dodger?

The money varies depending on how many bums they get on seats, whether your material is a gag, sketch or song, etc.

It's not something you can live on, but it's a nice little bonus every 6 weeks.

If stuff goes into Edinburgh it may be a few hundred (if you get a bunch of songs which I didn't closer to a grand).

On the regular NR a couple of hundred squids when I was getting alot in (and writing a lot remember!)
