Half yearly for most of us I think but many spread the cost on a monthly direct debit. I couldn't afford your bills, that's what I pay for a year!
Both my meters are inside and yes it is a pain.

Wow, you pay less than 20 pounds per month for electricity? I'm picturing you in an apartment with a single 10-watt bulb dangling overhead and a wood-burning stove in the corner ...
In the glorious months when I have to run neither the air conditioners nor the heat, I don't think my bill has ever been less than $50. That's gas and electricity combined.
Yeah but I bet you have one of these in your backyard.

The ones I play with are 13-meter, 3-axis, full-motion antennas. That thing looks stationary and rather decrepit.

Our antennas look like this:
The ones I worked with in the Army were huge beasts:
Oooo.
When I was a kid, we used to have a huge motorized satellite TV dish. It was freakin' massive. Bit smaller that the ones in those pics

I pay monthly for gas and electricity. Different plans with different companies allow for different payment schedules though; bi-monthly, semi-annually, quarterly, etc. My landlord pays for the water, so I've no idea.
The predicted thunderstorms never arrived.
It's. So. Humid.
Don't have my fan with me. Am going to die tonight.
Imagine what it's like when it's humid and 93F/34C outside. Less than 24 hours from now I'll be in cooler Orange County and a few days later in downright chilly Alaska. I'm looking forward to it.
Alaska sounds so good right now.

... That's half of the British summer.

Really? Weather.com says it's 68F/20C right now. That's only a little warmer than Alaska.
It's nearly midnight.
