the England team are shit

I agree!

Quote: catskillz @ June 23 2010, 6:26 PM BST

The ironic thing about that comment, is that you've actually ended up sounding quite pompous, by concluding that the England team are shit, after this afternoon's game. It's as if you're saying we should've beaten those lowly Slovenians by at least 5 goals, because we're England, and they're nobodies.

Depends on the mindset with which you read it, I suppose.

Well until this afternoon, even big England fans were saying the team was shit.

It is a bit tittish that after one not hugely convincing victory people start thinking we're world-cup-winners-in-waiting. Especially as in all likelyhood we'll face the Germans next. And that always ends well. Whistling nnocently

" waits for someone to, tediously, mention 5-1 "

That's another thing that pisses me off - Mindset!

(As well as "back in the day!")

You piss me off.

You piss me off.

Thank you - at least I assume you mean me because you didn't actually quote anybody. Still - nice to have that effect.

LOL. I love you really, Chappers! :D

Oh shit!

Most of them just meant the team had been playing terribly. The team isn't shit, generally speaking. If it was, we wouldn't have qualified for the tournament so easily, and the palyers wouldn't be playing in the Premiership, and living in mansions.

Quote: catskillz @ June 24 2010, 3:33 AM BST

and living in mansions.

We should get the Queen, Peter Stringfellow and Reg Presley from The troggs to play for us, they all live in mansions.

I assumed we just got into the tournament automatically. Like in Eurovision.

And I don't think living in a mansion/being rich equates to having any talent any more.
They probably just give the manager a blowie.

Rooney and Fabio ?

Sick Sick

Another thing that pisses me off...

Why when someone else is incompetent, and you say so, are YOU the one pulled up for being 'inconsiderate'?

I'd rather be inconsiderate 100 times, than incompetent once.
