Good point. I guess that plotline was added just in case they need to move location for Series 4, which I'm sure will be officially announced soon.

I think they'd have to bring in another child somehow. The whole reason it's so special is because of the kids.

The young actors are changing in different ways. I thought that Karen's character worked better when she was younger, but Ben is more riotously convincing now, while Jake has matured well.

I tend to agree with Ellie. If it continues, it will go in a different place over the next couple of series.
I may be wrong though, the writers are obviously talented, so maybe they'll draw inspriration from elsewhere and take the show onward and upward.
