I am not taking this well - but its great that he's getting so much recognition. So many people are saying nice things, yet when alive most people thought he wasn't funny. I think the masses will discover him now - like Andy Kaufman.
Frank was my comedy hero.
I didn't think he was very funny myself, but obviously a lot of people did.
RIP.
Poor, silly, man. Bought one of his records. A sort of TV sci-fi song, if memory serves. RIP.

I remember catching Frank on No.73 a few times, and '..Manchester Megastore Check Out Desk' is one of my favourite punk singles. It was only through online research I realised its singer amd the creator of Frank were the same man.
Two Frank Sidebottom tracks have just been released on iTunes. The songs are "Guess Who's Been On Match of the Day?" and "The Robbins Aren't Bobbins".
I hope he does get up to No. 1.
