I used to play Poker and internet poker. But haven't done it for ages.
I sometimes think I have a real chance of becoming a world class poker player despite not knowing how to play it.
Just learn the basic hands and you can play pretty much any variation of poker.

I recall a documentary years ago now where a casino owner/bookie or whatever was being interviewed in his office many floors up in Las Vegas.

No, they built most of it on credit. Which is why half of Vegas is going bust.

I do play the lottery everynow and then. Not because I think I'll win, but a pound is nice for a couple of daydreams.
I play the lottery and will get the very occasional scratch-card. I am totally against internet betting, It's a mugs game with misery being the only outcome.
The big problem with internet betting is that people are using credit cards to bet with.
Not a good idea.
And illegal in casinos I believe?
Labour really sold it's soul when it started chasing after super casinos.

I've never played roulette in a casino, but I've always wondered, is it possible to cover every number on the wheel, apart from one? If so, that would be a good way of getting many small wins in succession - unless of course you got really unlucky, and the one number you hadn't covered came up. The safest thing to do would be to cover every number apart from the one the ball had landed in last, because the ball rarely lands in the same number twice in a row. This would obviously be a very slow process, especially if you were just winning, say, a tenner at a time.

Oh dear. Road to ruin. What makes it less likely for a number to come up on the next spin, just because it came up on the last?
The other thing is, there are 37 numbers (or 38 on American roulette) but you only get 35/1 for getting a number up. So even if you did get your "win" you would just be getting your stake back.
